I recently did a little research on the effect humans have on this planet. Needless to say, it's a big one. I learned that the planet benefits from almost everything on this planet, except humans. Life on this earth relies on plants, animals, and all the elements this earth has. Yet we just destroy the earth. If humans were to just all of a sudden disappear today, all electricity and power would stop working in just a few hours. Farm animals and pets would most likely die from starvation or other causes within about a week. After a month, nuclear explosions would occur due to the power plants not having the resources to stay about. Then all the objects us humans have placed in the earth's orbit would come crashing down after a year. In about 25 years, majority of the planet would be covered in vegetation. Then in about 300 years, all steel and metal structures will fall and be destroyed. In 10,000 years, the only evidence of us humans existing would be the stone constructions that last more than a 100,000 years. Yes, it's an extremely long and almost scary process for the earth to go back to it's full restoration, but that's only because of all the destruction we have caused to our planet.
